About the role
On a day‑to‑day basis you will visit individuals in their homes to install electronic monitoring tagging equipment. You may work alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer. You will build confidence in individuals and reassure them of their safety, helping reduce the pressure on the prison system and supporting ex‑prisoners’ reintegration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits to install and maintain tagging equipment.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, build rapport, and provide reassurance.
- Follow procedures and safety protocols, including data collection and reporting.
- Work flexible hours on a rolling rota – evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Assist with troubleshooting and system checks.
- Collaborate with colleagues for support and case management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current valid UK driver’s licence.
- Fit to conduct home visits and carry equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- BPSS and Standard DBS clearance.
- Completion of Occupational Health questionnaire.
- Commitment to working flexible shift patterns (including extended hours if required).
- Commitment to building positive relationships with ex‑prisoners and the community.
