Higher Learning Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is looking to fill an HLTA position at a Primary School in WF2 to start on a full time basis from Easter. The successful candidate will:

• Have previous HLTA experience and an HLTA qualification
• Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with the pupils
• Be able to manage challenging behaviour effectivelyHave effective verbal and written communication
• Support the use of support staff relevant to the class
• Contribute to the provision of a safe, secure learning environment
• Have experience working with SEN/SEMH needs
• Have strong behaviour management techniques

• Location – Wakefield (WF2)
• Position – Higher Level Teaching Assistant (KS1 – KS2)
• Start date – April 13th 2026
• Duration – Temporary – Permanent
• Hours – Full time (8:30 – 15:30)
