Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 (MPS1–UPS3 Fringe)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a successful secondary school from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Science specialist to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching available for suitable candidates. You will join a supportive and ambitious environment focused on high expectations, strong behaviour for learning, and academic achievement. The successful candidate will be a confident classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and a commitment to raising attainment for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Plan, prepare and assess engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics within the Science curriculum
  • Use assessment data to support student progress and achievement
  • Contribute to curriculum development within the Science department
  • Support students of all abilities
  • Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole‑school initiatives

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science
