Hours: 40 per week

Location: An independent co‑educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2 to 18 in Street, Somerset. Catering for around 600 students daily. Core feeding offer of breakfast, lunch and supper, with vibrant hospitality provision. 52‑week contract operates Monday to Sunday, 5 out of 7 working days with weekend residential activity for boarders. Extensive campus setting and outstanding facilities in the heart of the Somerset countryside.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers.
  • Produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company’s brand standards.
  • Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
  • Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures.

Required Skills

  • Genuine interest in food & excellent customer service.

  • Understanding of basic food cost and wastage.

Knowledge & Competencies

  • Reasonable understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Reasonable standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Preferred experience in a customer and/or food preparation environment.
