Overview

TeacherActive is proud to work with a specialist SEND provision based in Stoke‑on‑Trent. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside Autism / ASD. The leadership team are committed to creating a safe and engaging setting where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping to manage behaviour, promote emotional regulation and encourage engagement within the classroom.
• Provide support to students with SEMH needs and Autism / ASD across different age groups.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, specifically SEMH and Autism / ASD.
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people.
• A ‘can‑do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
