SEN Teacher – Mainstream School
Age group: 5-10 years old
Special needs: Complex needs, EHCP, ASD
Contract: Long-term ongoing until July 2027, PAYE or Umbrella daily rate
Close to Elizabeth Line, on-site parking and good bus links.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of TAs and cover two classes totalling 10 students with EHCPs. The classes consist of students with complex needs and ASD who are predominantly pre-verbal. Support a HLTA and TAs in delivering appropriate instruction and behaviour management for students. Work with external professionals to provide advice and support for teaching assistants.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with SEND, particularly with complex needs and ASD.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, 2 references and right to work in the UK.
Additional Information
Paid trial day will take place as soon as possible after half-term.
