Salary

Base salary £38,247.41 – £45,896.13 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

About the Role

Join our Workshop Team to repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, gearboxes, and drive systems. Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and health & safety standards.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Overhaul mechanical assets including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and drive units.
  • Interpret mechanical technical drawings and repair assets to manufacturer specifications.
  • Recommend upgrades and cost‑effective solutions to operational colleagues.
  • Provide on‑site technical assistance and advice over the phone when required.
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes, drills, and milling machines.
  • Work in an organised manner with health and safety as a priority.

Additional Requirements

Occasional cover at other sites may be required.

Essential

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Level 3 NVQ in a mechanical discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical drive systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience operating machine tools (lathes, drills, milling machines).
  • Background as a fitter‑turner or similar industrial apprenticeship.
