About the Role
Join our Workshop Team to repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, gearboxes, and drive systems. Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and health & safety standards.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Overhaul mechanical assets including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and drive units.
- Interpret mechanical technical drawings and repair assets to manufacturer specifications.
- Recommend upgrades and cost‑effective solutions to operational colleagues.
- Provide on‑site technical assistance and advice over the phone when required.
- Operate machine tools such as lathes, drills, and milling machines.
- Work in an organised manner with health and safety as a priority.
Additional Requirements
Occasional cover at other sites may be required.
Essential
What you’ll bring to the role
- Level 3 NVQ in a mechanical discipline or equivalent.
- Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical drive systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience operating machine tools (lathes, drills, milling machines).
- Background as a fitter‑turner or similar industrial apprenticeship.
