7.5T Driver

Driver Hire Uxbridge – 7.5 Tonne Multi‑Drop Delivery Driver

Recruiting temporary, ad‑hoc delivery drivers for clients in the UB postcode areas (Uxbridge, Southall, Hayes, West Drayton, etc.). Shifts are not guaranteed.

Pay

• PAYE £16.00 to £19.00 per hour (includes holiday pay)
• Minimum of 10 hours per day (breaks not paid)
• Auto‑enrolment pension after 3 months

Type of Shifts

• Multi‑drop deliveries in and around the M25
• Deliver catering equipment, printers, electrical supplies, piping, flooring, etc.
• Deliver and collect tool/plant hire and construction equipment
• Scaffolding deliveries/collections
• Mainly daytime shifts Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
• Start times vary between 5:30 and 8:00 am

All‑Round Duties

• Complete deliveries correctly, efficiently, and professionally
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any concerns
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance (fuel levels, tyre pressure, fluid levels)
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Requirements

• Valid UK CAT C1 licence (at least 2 years, no more than 6 points, no DR/DD/TT/IN)
• Valid CPC
• A manual driving licence
• At least 1 year experience as a 7.5 T driver / LGV / HGV (references required)
• More than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C1) in the past 12 months
• Minimum age 25 years (insurance purposes)
• Physically fit; some jobs require lifting and shifting
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
