Salary and Benefits

Starting salary is £26,475. The Probation Service offers annual pay progression through a Competency Based Framework (CBF), which may increase pay as your competence grows. New entrants are expected to join at the minimum of the pay band. Pay bands may be reviewed annually in line with Civil Service Pay guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake the full range of work with people on probation before and after sentence.
  • Conduct assessment, sentence implementation, offender management and producing reports.
  • Provide case management support to a full range of people on probation using service procedures and practice directions.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK. Civil Service nationality rules apply.
  • Relevant eligibility criteria regarding immigration status and Skilled Worker visa considerations (as described in the full job description) will apply.
  • Familiarity with Civil Service recruitment guidelines and the Nationality rules guidance is expected.
