Water Hygiene Technician
Location: Central London (High‑Profile Static Site). Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent. Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum (DOE) plus a comprehensive benefits package. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
The Opportunity
You will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding public health across a prestigious, high‑compliance water system. Your daily remit will focus on execution, systematic auditing, and maintaining flawless water hygiene standards.
- Conduct comprehensive cold water storage tank inspections and specify any required remedial works.
- Perform strict thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) failsafe checks, servicing, and calibrations.
- Execute closed system sampling, chemical analysis, and cooling tower monitoring.
- Carry out precise chlorine dioxide testing, systematic water sampling, and temperature logging.
- Manage routine operational compliance tasks, including showerhead descaling and flushing regimes.
Technical Essentials
- Sustained Field Experience: Proven track record executing all core water hygiene duties (TMVs, tank inspections, closed systems, and cooling towers).
- Compliance Grounding: Solid working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and HTM 04‑01 frameworks.
- Cognitive Strengths: Exceptional attention to detail, strong pattern recognition for system variations, and a methodical approach to routine asset auditing.
- Reporting Rigor: Ability to accurately document data and maintain flawless asset logbooks.
- Attitude: A dependable, self‑motivated, and structured “can‑do” approach to complex mechanical assets.
