English Second Language Teacher – Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp) – Online Teaching, Singapore & Hong Kong

Teach online to ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using Cosmo curriculum on the premier online learning platform that connects K-12 students in the US, Canada and Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges. Set your own flexible schedule for 50‑minute 1‑on‑1 lessons each week.

Pay: $20 USD per class plus additional incentives.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in ELA
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards and curriculum
• Experience teaching ESL learners
• Teaching qualification preferred but not required
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
• Available between 8‑2 PM GMT on Monday through Friday or 5 AM – 2 PM GMT on the weekends
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basis
• Access to a private and quiet location
• Passion for helping students learn
• Currently located in the UK
• Approachable – build rapport and make students feel comfortable in an online classroom environment
• Patient – take the time and effort to ensure students understand complex subjects at the required speed
• Adaptive – tailor lessons and environment to each individual student’s needs and learning capabilities
• Considerate – understand when a student is feeling discouraged and build confidence
• Enthusiastic – passionate about education, bringing contagious energy to a fun learning environment
• Reliable – come to class on time, prepared, and ready to tackle students’ needs
