Plumbing Trainer (Full Training Provided) – £30,000 – £36,000 plus benefits. Full teacher training and £4,500 Golden Hello included, additional bursaries, 40 days annual leave, teachers’ pension, staff development, and health & wellbeing schemes.
Site based. Commutes available from Burton upon Trent, Derby, Lichfield, Coalville, Swadlincote and surrounding areas.
Are you an experienced plumber or heating engineer looking to step off the tools and make a real difference? This role offers an exciting opportunity to move into education as a trainee or fully qualified lecturer with full training and support provided. You’ll use hands‑on industry experience to inspire and guide the next generation of plumbers.
The Role
- Deliver classroom and workshop‑based lessons in Plumbing and Domestic Plumbing Systems
- Mentor and support students to develop practical skills, knowledge and confidence
- Mark assessments and track progress using digital systems
- Contribute to curriculum planning, pastoral support and learner reviews
The Person
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent)
- Strong industry experience as a practicing plumber or heating engineer
- Motivated to move into teaching and inspire the next generation
- Based within a commutable distance of Swadlincote
