Hours

• Ad hoc and pre-booked AM and PM shifts; shunter roles available
• Fixed shift patterns Friday – Monday PM; ad hoc work available

The role of HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and necessary paperwork in compliance with legal requirements
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including use of PPE and adherence to health and safety regulations

The ideal HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects correctly
• Compliance with on-site health and safety requirements
• Understanding of driver’s hours and WTD legislation
• Minimum 6 months previous experience
• Valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC, and Tacho cards
• No more than 6 points, with no DD/DR code convictions
