Overview
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Industries team at HMP Ford. In this rewarding role, you will support the development of prisoners by teaching and supervising practical welding skills. You will guide individuals as they gain employable skills while managing production and completion of orders for the prison service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver practical welding instruction to prisoners.
- Supervise trainees and ensure safety compliance.
- Manage production schedules and order completion.
- Provide feedback and progress reports to management.
- Maintain instructional materials and equipment.
Qualifications
- Relevant welding or vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ).
- Experience in teaching or training within a supervised environment.
- Welding test to be completed at interview.
- DBS Standard security check.
Additional Information
The role allows flexible working arrangements (hybrid) subject to business needs and the position is based in the UK. The position may be offered on loan for up to 2 years for current NPS staff.
