Salary: £168-232 per day (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

The Role
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play a key role in developing students’ literacy skills, critical thinking, and appreciation for literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and well‑structured English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordinglyPrepare pupils for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong outcomes
- Create an inclusive and focused classroom environment with clear expectations for behaviour
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and departmental initiatives
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to support student achievement
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
- Possess effective classroom and behaviour management skillsBe committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment
Eligibility Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two professional references relating to working with children
