About the Role
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and qualified Primary Teacher to join a SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Audenshaw from September.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting young children with additional needs. You will be working with a small class of pupils up to the age of 6, where the focus is on developing emotional wellbeing, confidence, and social skills, alongside early learning.
Teaching is delivered in a creative and engaging way, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and educational trips. The role requires a proactive, hands‑on approach to lead and support an energetic group of pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored learning experiences to meet individual SEMH needs
- Lead and manage a small class of young pupils
- Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Incorporate outdoor learning and experiential activities into daily teaching
- Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A creative, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching
- A genuine commitment to supporting children’s personal development
