Job Description

As an SEN Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, personalised teaching across the secondary curriculum, supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve meaningful progress. You will work closely with the Headteacher and the wider team to develop a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that builds confidence, supports wellbeing, and unlocks potential. This role involves collaboration, curriculum delivery, and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of secondary subjects, using resources effectively to achieve strong progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the Headteacher to support curriculum development and take on additional responsibilities to ensure effective delivery.
  • Adapt teaching flexibly to meet individual needs, including teaching beyond your main subject area where required.
  • Promote pupils’ personal development and wellbeing, supporting their social, emotional and academic growth.
  • Uphold safeguarding and professional standards, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and all school policies.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including administrative responsibilities, leadership areas, and additional duties as required.

About You

  • A qualified teacher (UK QTS or equivalent).
  • Passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Creative, adaptable and able to tailor learning to individual needs.
  • A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Motivated to contribute to a growing school and shape its future.
