Overview

Join the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Portland, a category C adult male and YOI prison. This role supports a safe and nurturing environment through quality painting and decorating work.

Responsibilities

As a Painter and Decorator you will work alongside colleagues from various trades to maintain the prison’s interior surfaces. You will carry out painting and decorating tasks to a high standard, ensuring all work complies with HMP standards and health & safety regulations.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Painting & Decorating or equivalent (or significant experience).
• Experience working in a maintenance team.
• Honest and reliable character, working with purpose and pace.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills.

Salary & Contract

£19,455.36 per annum.

Permanent, Part‑Time – 24.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Location: HMP Portland – DT5 1DL.
