Job Title: Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Location: Manchester (hybrid working week)

Sellick Partnership is looking to hire a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our specialist Legal Team based in Manchester.

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will work closely with experienced Managers, network with legal candidates across the UK, and build professional relationships.

Networking opportunities span a large legal candidate database, assisting Recruitment Consultants in securing roles for candidates.

Key qualities for the role include excellent written and verbal communication, strong organisational skills, and a results‑driven attitude toward KPIs and sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Recruitment Consultants to source top candidate talent.
  • Target passive candidates through headhunting.
  • Develop and manage both new and existing candidate relationships.
  • Maintain relationships via telephone and face‑to‑face contact.
  • Expand the candidate network using LinkedIn and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Conduct candidate interviews and qualify them against current live roles.
  • Actively source candidates via database, external job boards, and LinkedIn.
  • Tailor candidate CVs and refresh job adverts.
  • Research new clients and add them to the database.
  • Increase awareness of Sellick Partnership and personal brand through social media, networking, and sponsorship events.
