Activities Coordinator

Therapy Activities Coordinator – 42 hours a week at Cygnet Hospital Hexham, a 27‑bed mental health facility for women with complex mental health needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, implement and oversee activities, outings and events for the people in our care.
• Provide fun and constructive leisure time, as well as appropriate physical and emotional support.
• Ensure the provision of staff, space and materials for all activities.
• Supervise, oversee and develop colleagues.
• Oversee the creation of promotional materials for events.

Qualifications and Experience

• Excellent role model who knows what good care looks like.
• Highly organised with a positive attitude.
• Confident public speaker and facilitator.
• Knowledgeable of suitable activities and pastimes to support mental health service users.
• Positive approach to working with challenging behaviours.
• Experience in planning, resourcing and carrying out events and activities.

Regulatory Information
