About the role

As part of the Faculty of Engineering Apprenticeship Training Programme, you will undertake a full‑time 4‑year Level 3 Materials Testing Technical Apprenticeship. You will receive hands‑on training in the Materials Laboratories across the Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing (M3) department, learning to prepare specimens, configure test equipment, interpret data and support students during practical sessions.

You will study for a nationally accredited Level 3 qualification and, upon successful completion, will be eligible for Professional Registration and opportunities for further study.

Qualifications

  • Five GCSEs (grades 4 or above) including Mathematics, English and a Science.
  • Or BTEC Level 3 in Engineering or a relevant subject.

Full‑time (36.25 hours); Fixed term until 31 August 2030.
