Job Overview
We are looking for a Group Temporary Staffing Clinical Support Facilitator to join our Temporary Staffing team, supporting services across the Bristol NHS Group. This key role focuses on supporting our bank Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) and unregistered staff, ensuring safe, high‑quality care and ongoing professional development.
Main Duties
Provide day‑to‑day staff support, including training and competency assessments, responding to queries, and supporting staff performance and development. Assist in recruitment and onboarding processes, helping new starters settle in and meet required standards from the outset. Act as a point of contact for clinical teams, promote consistent standards of practice, and support governance processes such as audits and follow‑up of concerns.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with clinical staff such as HCSWs or unregistered staff in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of clinical governance, training, and competency assessment in a clinical environment
- Experience of team working to achieve clinical and operational objectives
Desirable Criteria
- Experience supporting learners in the workplace and facilitation of learning/teaching/mentoring
Skills & Abilities
Essential Criteria
- Proven supervisory and mentoring skills in a clinical setting
- Proven ability to use own initiative and professional judgement in delivering safe and effective clinical support
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a patient‑focused and staff‑supportive approach
Skills, Qualifications and Training
Essential Criteria
- Educated to GCSE, grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths
- Business and Administration Level 3 NVQ or equivalent experience
Desirable Criteria
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role
- Evidence of training in supervision, mentorship, or clinical education
Aptitudes
Essential Criteria
- Strong management and organisational skills
- Reliable and professional in all aspects of work
- High attention to detail, particularly in competency tracking, training records, and clinical support
