Job Overview

This role focuses on delivering high‑quality music teaching with a strong emphasis on participatory singing across a wide range of styles. You will work across different settings, from whole‑class teaching to small groups, choirs and singing assemblies, supporting pupils from EYFS through to KS2, with potential opportunities in KS3 and KS4.

Students will receive engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Music, using assessment for learning strategies to track and support pupil progress. In addition to singing, you will teach instruments such as ukulele, keyboard, percussion and recorder, helping to create a broad and inclusive musical experience.

The role requires strong organisation, including lesson planning and record keeping, and the ability to manage time effectively across different schools and activities, including those outside standard hours. You will also bring your own experience as a performer into your teaching and use music technology to enhance learning.
