Contract Type: Full‑time, Long‑term

Rate: GBP140 – GBP220 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

About the School

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are partnering with a fantastic specialist school in Leeds, supporting students aged 11‑16 who have a range of complex learning needs, including autism and physical or sensory impairments. The school prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student can thrive and feel supported.

As a SEND Teacher, you’ll be joining a team of dedicated professionals who are focused on providing an environment where students can excel, regardless of their learning challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality, tailored teaching to pupils primarily across KS2, KS3, and KS4.
  • Plan and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff, and parents/carers to provide a consistent, holistic approach to education.
  • Support the individual needs of students, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in an SEN setting (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment).
  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to classroom management.
  • Passion for inclusive education and a genuine commitment to helping every child make progress.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs and deliver personalised learning experiences.

Eligibility

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child‑barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child‑related references.
