Salary: £150 £230 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a nurturing FS2 Teacher passionate about early years education?

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic FS2 Teachers to work in schools across Derby (DE3).

As an FS2 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and structured early years learning, helping children develop key skills in communication, social interaction, and early literacy and numeracy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to support children at a crucial stage of their development.

Responsibilities of an FS2 Teacher

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support children’s development in literacy, numeracy, and communication
  • Use play-based and creative teaching strategies to engage pupils
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and staff to support learning
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers

Requirements of an FS2 Teacher

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working within EYFS or FS2 settings is desirable
  • Strong understanding of early years development and curriculum
  • A patient, creative, and nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A genuine passion for early years education
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
