Class 2 Refuse Driver

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to work within the Metheringham area, supporting local waste collection services.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.
• Assisting loaders with the collection of household waste when required. (Not often)
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Ensuring all collections are completed safely and in line withregulations.
• Providing a professional and courteous service to the public.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience in refuse driving or a similar role preferred, but not essential.
• Good level of physical fitness (due to the nature of the role).
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday; 0700 start time; averaging 8 hour shifts; 30 Min Breaks.

Pay and Benefits

Pay for this position will be £14.50 per hour. Overtime/Bank Holidays paid at time and a half.

You will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year.
