Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: From £92.60 per day
NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Leeds on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across KS1/KS2,working closely with class teachers to help create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment. The role may also involve supporting pupils with SEN on both a 1:1 basis and within the classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teaching and learning across KS1/KS2
- Working with small groups and individual pupils
- Providing additional support for pupils with SEN where required
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and engagement
- Supporting pupils with classwork and learning activities
- Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and resources
- Encouraging positive relationships and pupil confidence
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working within a primary school
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs
- Have a positive, patient and proactive approach
- Work well as part of a team
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
- Have at least a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English
