Level 2 EYFS Teaching Assistant

Job Reference: 001530 | Level 2 EYFS Teaching Assistant | Permanent, Part Time (32.5 hrs per week), Term Time (39 weeks per year).

To commence 1st September 2026.

Salary: Pro rata of points 7 – 11 of the Support Pay Spine for schools (£26,403 – £28,142) currently £20,449 – £21,795 per annum.

Overview of the School

Werneth Primary School is a two‑form entry Primary School with children from Nursery to Year 6. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2023.

Role Overview

The role involves working under the guidance of teachers and/or Senior Leaders to provide care, support, and assistance to pupils, enabling access to learning and helping manage the classroom and students. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

Responsibilities

  • Work under guidance of teachers and Senior Leaders in care and support programmes for pupils.
  • Assist teachers in managing students and classroom activities.
  • Provide support to enable pupils’ access to learning.
  • Carry out tasks in classroom or outside main teaching area as directed.

Qualifications & Experience
