Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Banksman to support the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within our Service Centre. You will play a vital role in directing and controlling the flow of light commercial vehicles and large goods vehicles entering and exiting our Dispatch yard.
Responsibilities
- Manage and guide the movement and direction of site vehicles to ensure a safe and organised traffic flow.
- Support the management team in developing safe systems for the movement of both vehicles and pedestrians.
- Assist drivers during busy periods, helping them safely manoeuvre into loading, unloading, or parking areas.
- Monitor and manage the safe interaction between pedestrians and vehicles in the yard and on the bays.
- Report any unsafe behaviour or non‑compliance to site management promptly.
Qualifications
- Motivated and reliable team worker.
- Keen to learn and develop in a practical, hands‑on role.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods in line with health and safety requirements.
- Experience is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Up‑to‑date Forklift Truck licence is highly desirable.
