Would you like an opportunity to work with advanced cellular communication systems? We have an excellent opportunity for a talented student who is interested in learning more about the design, modeling and verification of advanced cellular communication systems. As MediaTek’s placement student, you will work as part of a small R&D team that is responsible for driving innovation in cellular communication systems, from defining new standards to designing and verifying modem chipsets that implement these protocols. This role offers exposure to new communication standards such as 5G/6G, allowing you to understand how they are applied in the design and implementation of consumer devices that exchange information over wireless links. You will use theoretical analysis, architecture design and software simulations to model the user device at the system level and interpret key performance indicators while developing complex simulation environments.

- Have programming experience (ideally in Python, C or C++).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Good mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with any wireless communication system.
- Good system‑level design and an understanding of dataflow management in communication systems.
Internship Details & Benefits
- Duration: 9 to 12 months.
- Location: Cambourne, Cambridge Shire office, 9 miles outside Cambridge city centre (served by frequent direct bus services).
