Overview
We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team. These positions are temporary to permanent, offering a pathway to a long‑term role for the right candidates. The successful applicants will support children and young people with a range of needs, including trauma‑related behaviour, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), autism, anxiety, and personal care requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, personalised support for pupils with additional needs.
- Assist with daily personal care and wellbeing.
- Support pupils in managing trauma‑related and challenging behaviours.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience supporting children with SEMH, autism, anxiety, and trauma‑related behaviours.
- Ability to provide personal care sensitively and professionally.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in SEN education, childcare, or support work.
- Full, clean driving licence and ability to travel as required.
