HGV 1 Driver – Nights

HGV 1 Drivers Required in Yate BS37 (Nights)

Pay: £18.00 – £21.00 per hour

£18.00 PAYE £21.00 LTD

Key tasks

Shift times

• Shift starts between 16.00 – 18.00 for night shift
• Working Monday – Friday (no weekends)
• Drivers will need to complete an assessment and induction before starting in Shepton Mallet BA4 (paid after first week of working)

Duties

• Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
• Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment
• Make sure each load is strapped before departing the depot
• Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s licence 2 years (CDL)
• Clean driving record with no major violations
• Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must complete an unpaid induction before starting with the company.
