Role Overview

Key part of the Pastoral Support Team as a Behaviour Support Assistant, responsible for providing student support within and beyond the classroom, addressing challenging behaviours, fostering a caring learning environment, and building positive relationships with staff, students, and parents/carers.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with pastoral care and re-engage individual learners.
  • Assist students in making wise choices and positive behaviours.
  • Work flexibly across all age groups to address challenging behaviours.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and parents/carers.
  • Collaborate with school staff to promote good behaviour and high-quality teaching.

  • Experience in pastoral care or a related area.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Capacity to work flexibly and handle challenging behaviours.
