We are urgently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SLD Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEND school in Wickford. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a well-resourced setting with a warm, welcoming team and a genuinely positive working environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting pupils with complex learning needs, helping them to access education in a meaningful and engaging way.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SLD
- Assist with personal care and daily routines where required
- Support communication using Makaton, PECS, and visual aids
- Deliver sensory-based and adapted learning activities
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
