Senior Support Worker – Residential Children’s Home Bournemouth

Location: On site / Bournemouth, UK

Hourly Salary range: £37,600.00 to £40,720.00

Salary details: Inclusive of Sleep ins and On call

Reports to: Deputy Homes Manager

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary basic care and a nurturing, therapeutic environment and ensure that all shifts reflect this practice
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed daily and to a high standard by all staff
  • Work with firm and consistent boundaries to create safety and containment for the young people
  • Oversee key workers, ensuring they are supported in developing in this role, and meet all responsibilities required
  • Review all Care Plan updates to ensure they detail the current needs of each young person within the home
  • Review all Risk Assessments (RAMPs) and Positive Behaviour Plans updates for each young person to ensure these are current
  • Liaise, where necessary, with other professionals such as schools and social services and record relevant information
  • Organise the house and the shift including day‑to‑day management and delegation to TPWs

Qualifications

  • Level 3 QCF qualification in Childrens Residential Care and experience working as a support worker within a children’s residential setting
  • Calm and grounded, even under pressure, with the ability to set clear, consistent boundaries
  • A supportive team player who leads with empathy and kindness
