Primary Teacher – Key Stage 2 SEND Class

This is an exciting opportunity for a QTS Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within an outstanding SEND school. Do you want to teach small classes where personalised learning and strong relationships help children thrive? This welcoming specialist school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a committed Primary Teacher to lead a Key Stage 2 class of pupils with complex learning needs.

As a Primary Teacher, you will teach a small class of Key Stage 2 pupils, delivering engaging and highly differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of children with complex learning needs. You will create a calm, structured and nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

You will work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist staff who provide excellent classroom support and help ensure pupils receive the care, guidance and encouragement they need throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about SEND education and enjoys working within a collaborative and supportive team.

Job Role

  • Teaching a small Key Stage 2 class of pupils with complex learning needs
  • Planning and delivering engaging and highly differentiated lessons
  • Creating a calm, inclusive and structured classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils’ communication, independence and personal development
  • Working closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
  • Using creative, sensory and practical approaches to support learning
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
  • Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
