Tameside College is recruiting a Teacher in Painting and Decorating, starting 17th August 2026.
Standard Requirements for the role
You will plan, deliver and develop teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles, take responsibility for the quality of your teaching and related curriculum development that meets learner needs, assess learners’ progress in College or on work experience, and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.
What you’ll need
- Experience as a Teaching colleague (strong team player with excellent communication skills).
- Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2, Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent) in Painting and Decorating or General Construction.
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/PGCE/Bachelor of Education or ability to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment.
- Relevant assessment qualifications – IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
