The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for students
- Support pupils with complex needs and physical disabilities
- Work closely with teachers to help students access learning and achieve their potential
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Promote student wellbeing and safeguarding at all times
- Contribute to the wider school environment and support strategies
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, or within a care/support role
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to build strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Have a caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Hold a valid child‑only DBS (or be willing to obtain one)
