FLT Counterbalance Driver (Clamp Truck Experience Preferred)

£13.00 per hour
Overtime Rate – 125% after 45 hours , 150% on Saturdays , 200% on Sundays
Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 4:00pm
We are currently seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy recycling plant in Widnes. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced industrial environment, where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are key. Candidates with Clamp Truck experience will be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Handling, moving, and stacking recycled materials and waste products
- Loading and unloading vehicles in a timely manner
- Using clamp attachments where required (training may be provided if needed)
- Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting any faults
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting general warehouse/recycling plant duties as required
Requirements
- Valid and in‑date FLT Counterbalance licence
- Previous experience in a recycling, waste, or industrial environment preferred
- Clamp Truck experience is highly advantageous
- Good awareness of health & safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours, including overtime and weekends
