Food and Beverage Team Member – Mornings Only & Evenings Only
Position Overview: Serves guests by preparing the dining area, providing waiter service, taking orders, and clearing tables in the F&B point of sale, consistent with the restaurant, meeting room, breakfast, bar or patio concept. Provides a high standard of service in welcoming guests and during waiter service.
Main Responsibilities
- Order taking, maximizing sales opportunities through product knowledge and suggestive selling; verifying order accuracy by repeating to guests.
- Enter orders into the POS and deliver them promptly to kitchen.
- Collect cooked meals, maintain temperature and appearance, announce items to guests.
- Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy per procedure manual.
- Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.
- Take responsibility for designated section and station.
- In room service, promptly answer call, maximize sales opportunities and handle trays/trolleys per protocol.
- Follow supervisor and hotel management requests and instructions.
Health & Safety
- Actively participate in safe work practices and use equipment safely.
- Understand departmental fire, evacuation and emergency procedures.
- Record accidents/incidents and support injured employee rehabilitation.
- Report health or safety hazards to supervisor.
- Wear protective clothing and equipment.
- Participate in Accor environmental initiatives.
- Report broken or damaged equipment to supervisor.
Customer Service
- Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all guests.
- Address guest problems and concerns positively; call Manager on Duty if difficulties arise.
- Actively promote hotel facilities and services.
General Duties
- Follow training standards, departmental procedures and shift schedule.
- Suggest service or procedural improvements.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to improve skills.
- Adhere to the Accor Employee Handbook.
- Maintain confidentiality of hotel and guest information.
Qualifications
- Passion for food and/or drinks.
- Friendly, relaxing and personalised welcome experience.
- Build customer loyalty through high service standards.
- Experience in F&B and customer service essential.
- Ability to take food and drink orders and promote F&B offerings.
- Effective guest relationship management.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: £12.81 per hour plus service charge.
