Key Responsibilities

In this Agricultural Technician role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment across Cambridgeshire, including:

  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on tractors, telehandlers, and farm machinery
  • Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Inspecting hydraulic, electrical, engine, and transmission systems
  • Completing welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair work when required
  • Maintaining trailers, implements, and machinery attachments
  • Conducting machinery inspections and ensuring equipment remains roadworthy
  • Responding to breakdowns efficiently to reduce downtime
  • Replacing worn or damaged components
  • Keeping accurate maintenance and service records
  • Using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to identify faults

What we’re looking for

To succeed in this Agricultural Technician position, you’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience working on agricultural machinery
  • Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills
  • Experience working as an Agricultural engineer or within a similar environment
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
  • A practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
