Senior Chef de Partie – Gastro Pub

Woodbridge, Suffolk

Salary: £34,000 per year + tips

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (45 hours per week)

Live-in available (£78 per week)

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Chef de Partie to join a stable and supportive kitchen brigade within a busy gastro pub operation. Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will take responsibility for running your own section and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen. The role will involve working across lunch and dinner services, helping maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency during busy periods. This is a hands-on position suited to a confident Chef de Partie looking to step into a more senior role within a fresh food environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run and manage your designated section during service.
  • Prepare and present fresh food dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Support junior chefs and help maintain a positive kitchen culture.
  • Ensure mise en place is completed efficiently ahead of service.
  • Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and service flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within your section.
  • Support stock control, rotation, and ordering procedures.
  • Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie within a fresh food kitchen.
  • Experience working within a gastro pub, hotel, or quality restaurant environment.
  • Confident running a section independently during busy service periods.
  • Good understanding of fresh, seasonal British cuisine.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, hard-working, and team-focused approach.
  • Flexible attitude towards shifts and weekend work.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen standards.
