Retail Assistant – Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This is a permanent part‑time position that offers a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 12 hours worked over 3 days from 7 each week, including weekends. You will need to be available for weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

  • 16‑20 = £10.95 per hour
  • 21+ = £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering packing help and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shop safe, clean and tidy.

Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy and able to multitask across deliveries, tills, customer assistance, cleaning and stock rotation.
• Reliable and dependable as part of a small team.
• Flexibility with shifts; willing to work slightly different hours when covering for teammates.
• Pass an Employment Verification check if offered the position.
