The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
- Support students who may display challenging behaviour or have experienced barriers to mainstream education
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress
- Create a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment
- Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, support staff and senior leaders
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning and emotional needs
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Has experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4
- Experience within SEMH, SEND, PRU or alternative provision settings is highly desirable
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Patient, resilient and passionate about making a difference
- Able to inspire and motivate pupils who may be disengaged from education
