About the Role

Thrive Foster Care are looking to recruit Family Support Worker across the North West to help support the young people we have in our care. We require a flexible approach to the hours and days that you may need to work. There will be times you may need to work outside of your hours to support children. You are required to have a full driving licence and access to a car, as transport to and from activities is a large part of this role.

As a Family Support Worker, you will work with our children and young people in placement, taking them on activities, encouraging them to gain confidence and improve their self-esteem, thus allowing them to thrive and reach their full potential. As part of this role, you will produce and maintain accurate recordings of sessions completed. You will develop an effective working relationship with other professionals involved with the children and young people including contributing to any ongoing assessments relating to their needs. You will also assist the foster parents in developing strategies to manage the behaviours of any challenging children and young people in placement. As a fostering support worker you will also be working with the birth children to provide support, at Inspire we believe in a team around the family to ensure that everyone feels supported.

About You

You will be motivated, flexible and passionate about working with children and young people; and you will have effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels. You will be committed to your own development by attending training and regular supervision sessions with your Line Manager.
