Our Post-16 provision was opened in September 2019 and is based within its own premises in Greenford. The role will be based at our P16 provision but will require time spent working across both school sites.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated person to provide support to our students and their families, enabling them to receive the maximum benefit from the education provision made available to them here at Springhallow School. The main purposes of the job are to:
- Support students welfare and well-being (including mentoring)
- Provide practical and emotional support for their parents and/or guardians
- Provide the necessary liaison with statutory and voluntary services
- Assist with assessment, meetings and planning for their special and social needs
- Facilitate the organisation of a parent development focus group
We can offer you:
- A positive, supportive and hard-working environment where everyone is valued;
- Opportunities for continuing professional development.
The school is committed to safer recruitment, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). We are an inclusive school, committed to ensuring our staff and leaders more closely reflect our Ealing pupil population and our ambition is that pupils grow and develop in an environment of visible, diverse role models.
We warmly welcome applications from all candidates and encourage individuals who would classify themselves as belonging to a global majority group to apply.
Springhallow School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. In addition, as part of the shortlisting process, we will carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on the shortlisted candidates to help identify any incidents or issues that may have happened, and are publicly available online, and which we may want to explore with candidates at interview.
