Systems Support Technician

Position Summary

To cGBP28,450 + premium hours rates, overtime and benefits (realistic 1st year OTE : GBP32k+).

Our Derby based client is a market leader in innovative integrated systems. They provide Project Management, Implementation, Consultancy and Software Development to blue‑chip clients worldwide. With continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are recruiting Systems Support Technicians to complement their electrical and controls engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and design/modification of existing SCADA, PLC and associated subsystems.
• Provide 24‑hour emergency call‑out availability across sites nationwide.
• Plan, procure, maintain and report on a wide range of sites and subsystems.
• Diagnose and solve problems while delivering high levels of customer service.
• Travel throughout the UK and work nights on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level C and G, or HNC or above in a relevant electrical, electronic or IT discipline.
• Ability to travel throughout the UK and work nights.
• Full UK driving licence and a valid passport.
• Clear criminal record; able to obtain security clearance for UK airports.

Full training will be provided to practical candidates with an interest in engineering and technology. Premium hourly rates apply for night work and travel. The role requires a flexible, team‑oriented attitude and a commitment to client relationships.
