Family and Safeguarding Support Worker and Attendance Officer

37 hrs per week, Term Time plus INSET days.

(SCP 18-23) Salary range £31,537 – £34,434 Pro rata

The Governors of the Cadmus Federation and Leighswood School are seeking to appoint a warm, committed and engaging individual to join our team as a Family and Safeguarding Support Worker and Attendance Officer from September 2026.

This is a key role in ensuring all children are safe, attend school regularly, and are well supported alongside their families.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Inclusion Manager to deliver this varied role, including:

Responsibilities

  • Supporting safeguarding as Deputy DSL, managing cases and promoting child protection
  • Delivering targeted family support, working with parents and external agencies
  • Leading attendance improvement, tackling persistent absence with challenge and support
  • Building strong parent partnerships through clear communication and outreach
  • Coordinating multi‑agency working and represent the school in professional meetings
  • Maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and attendance requirements
