To seek to achieve any performancecriteria, objectives or targets agreed with or set by the School’s GoverningBody in accordance with the requirements set out in the School Teachers’ Payand Conditions Document.
To promote and safeguard the welfareof all children and young people within the School, by ensuring that theSchool’s policies and procedures relating to safeguarding children and childprotection are fully implemented and followed by all staff; resources areallocated to allow staff to discharge their responsibilities; and that staff,pupils, parents and others feel able to raise concerns and that these areaddressed sensitively and effectively.
The School’s Governing Body wish aparticular emphasis to be placed upon the following:
1. To continue to raise standards across theschool with particular reference to academic performance so that all pupilsachieve to the very best of their ability. To lead in the provision ofexcellent learning and teaching.
2. To formulate a vision of school improvementand to lead the staff and Governing Body in reviewing and evaluating theeffectiveness of the School Development Plan.
3. To report to the School’s Governing Body onprogress made against School Development Plan objectives, makingrecommendations as to future priorities.

The ideal candidate will:
- Recent,significant experience in a specialist education setting
- Evidence of recent significantsenior leadership experience
- Experience of successful implementationof strategies achievement and ensuring effective teaching and assessment forraising standards
- Experience of teaching in morethan one school desirable
- Dataanalysis skills and the ability to use data for strategic decision making and targetsetting.
- Understandingof high-quality teaching based on evidence
- Effective communication skillsand ability to build effective and professional working relationships
- Toinspire and collaborate with others to implement the ongoing development of theschool vision
- Displays a commitment to theprotection and safeguarding of children and young people
- Hasup-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and guidance inrelation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people
