Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for flexible, ad hoc work across a range of clients in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for as-and-when shifts, with competitive pay and the chance to pick up regular work.

• Flexible, ad hoc shifts based on business needs
• Work available across Edinburgh and nearby areas
• Weekday and weekend shifts available
• Typical start times: 7:00am or 11:00am
• Extra shifts often available to cover holidays and peak periods

Monday to Friday:

• £14.50 per hour (PAYE)
• £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

Overtime (after 8 hours):

• £19.32 per hour (PAYE)
• £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

Minimum 8 hours’ pay per shift. Weekly pay (holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced selected).

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries
• Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
• Handling goods safely, including some heavy items
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
